BA ‘ponders Air Miles sale’
British Airways has declined to comment on weekend reports that it is to offload Air Miles.
According to the Sunday Times, the airline is expected to confirm within weeks the sale of the loyalty scheme for £25 million to private equity firm European Capital. BA would take up to £200 million ot of the company in return for providing flights, the report said.
BA is also believed to have received approaches for regional offshoot BA Connect, which operates from Birmingham and Manchester, but no decision has been made on its future.
