BA targets Melbourne

British Airways is rumoured to be spending more than $500,000 on a marketing campaign to persuade Melbournians to travel to London, with purchasers of return tickets by 24 October, to the UK being able to access a one-way upgrade on the outbound or return sector of their choice. 

BA also has London cabs cruising Collins Street and free coffee upgrades at city cafes, visuals portraying iconic British products, including shirts, bags and fashions, six large billboards and 180 bus shelters in Melbourne’s CBD and major newspapers and magazines in Victoria only, as part of the campaign by to BA secure even more of the lucrative Melbourne market. 

In the UK, BA’s “Biggest Ever Sale” running in the UK offers travellers between London and New York return fares of only $560, trips to Munich for $232 and for Melbournians, return flights from Heathrow to Melbourne beginning at $1500. 

BA believes that their campaign message – British Airways, the stylish choice when travelling from Melbourne to London will appeal to Melbournians.
