Baby dies on flight from London
A baby girl reportedly died on a flight from London to Hong Kong, despite the captain making an emergency landing in Kazakhstan to seek medical help.
Chinese media claimed the four-month-old fell unconscious during Cathay Pacific’s afternoon flight from Heathrow last Sunday.
The pilot diverted flight CX256 to Kazakhstan to seek medical help while a nurse who was among the passengers tried to administer first aid.
However, the baby was pronounced dead at the airport. The child’s French mother and Chinese-French father, who were travelling to visit family in China, continued on the flight with their deceased baby onboard.
