Bali Forum Public Affairs Appointment
Sydney company S2i Communications has been appointed to handle communications and public affairs for the Bali Forum.
The company will be working with leading Indonesian communications group, Indo Multi Media, headquartered in Jakarta, with an office in Bali.
CEO of S2i Communications, Wayne Tregaskis, says the primary objective of the appointment is to revitalise, rejuvenate and remind Australians of the sheer pleasure and value of a Bali holiday – while assuring them of vastly upgraded safety protocols.
“Bali has had its problems in recent years, but no more so than major destinations, such as London, New York or Madrid, but it seems to have suffered from disproportionate DFAT warnings.”
“Like anyone travelling anywhere, common sense and awareness should be a part of anyone’s standard travel preparations these days.”
Managing Director of Indo Multi Media, Alistair Speirs, says the communications program is being funded by the Indonesian Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
“The program will be part of a highly integrated communications project, which will feature advertising, promotional elements and editorial,” says Alistair.
“As every Australian visitor to Bali would know, the island destination is all about its people, and this will become a key message in all we do.”
The company will open a full time media centre in Bali, which will be operated by Zoe Cottew.
Zoe, a fluent Indonesian speaker, is deeply familiar with the region, and has extensive communications and issues management experience.
