Bali resort to welcome nightriders
In a world first, Komune Resort & Beach Club Bali has launched a permanent night surfing installation.
Guests and visitors to the resort can watch the local Bali board riders wrestle with the waves or book a night surf with five others.
Night surfing sessions cost $20 per hour and run from 7pm – midnight as well as 4am – 6am for early risers.
Komune Resort & Beach Club is situated on Bali’s east coast.
Its first stage, consisting of 33 rooms, opened in late 2012. Set to open in 2014 are the second and third stages of the resort which overlook the world class surf reef break of Keramas.
Komune Beach Junior Suites have a launch rate from $140 per night. These 10 Junior Suites will open in February 2014.
In late 2014 Komune’s beach villas will launch. Each will have ocean views that overlook the Keramas right-hander.
The 24 two and three bedroomed villas have their own private swimming pool, Bose sound system, internet connection, fully equipped kitchen, outdoor showers, BBQ, outdoor lounge, king size beds and a lounge area with surf views.
Villas also incorporate solar powered LED lighting, water harvesting and purification, cross flow ventilation, sewer and storm water management, river channel and beach management, cleaning and monitoring.
The Bali based resort is part owned by Australian surfer Luke Egan.
