Bali triathlon ready to race and rock

Saturday, 29 Nov, 2012 0

The 2013 Biznet Bali International Triathlon will return for the seventh year on Sunday, June 23.

First run in 2007, this year’s event attracted 900 athletes from some 29 countries.

John "Jack" Daniels, co-founder of the race and president director of Bali Discovery Events, said the event enjoyed great support from Bali Intercontinental Resort, Ayana Resort and Spa, The Four Seasons Resort at Jimbaran Bay "and the more than 100 hotels and resorts that are members of the Bali Hotels Association".

Race director Andreas Kansil said significant changes were being made in the race route next year, "particularly for the running legs that will explore a new area of Jimbaran Bay".

Back for 2013 will be the Balinese bike blessing; welcome cocktail, high-carb race eve dinner; the ‘rock the race party’ at the Ayana Resort and Spa; and the race-central entertainment and transition area at the InterContinental Bali Resort.

Participants can register online through the official race website at www.balitriathlon.com
