Banyan Tree fans out to Seoul, Shanghai
SINGAPORE – Banyan Tree keeps growing new branches – it has signed its first branded city club development in Asia in Seoul and it has also inked a deal for a new waterfront boutique hotel along the Shanghai Bund.
Developed by Urban Oasis Inc, Banyan Tree Club & Spa is the first branded private membership club in Korea, and will be the seventh addition to the Group’s city hotel portfolio.
Banyan Tree Club & Spa will include a 59-suite Banyan Tree city hotel featuring full-fledged hotel facilities and signature F&B amenities, while members can enjoy a wide range of sporting, leisure, educational and entertainment activities.
In Shanghai, its all-suite hotel, developed in collaboration with Shanghai Pengxin Group, will anchor an area slated for transformation into a high-end leisure, international cruise and residential venue on the Shanghai Bund.
Slated to open in 2010, the 150-suite hotel will overlook the famous Huangpu River with direct access to the nearby waterfront and park. Facilities include the award-winning Banyan Tree Spa, Banyan Tree Gallery and signature restaurants.
