It was announced on Friday that Barry Mayo had resigned from HWT.

Chris Scott, CEO of S8 will assume the responsiblity of joint CEO of both groups. Mr Scott said he was determined to expand the HWT brand further and increase Harvey World’s market share.

“The company is in a strong position and we appreciate Mr Mayo’s contribution both to that and to ensuring the transition from publicly listed company to wholly owned subsidiary of S8 was not disruptive or unsettling to the administration or the network” he said.

Mr Mayo said he was confident that S8 would continue to grow HWT. ” I know that S8 has not spent $85 million plus in acquiring HWT to let it stagnate or go backwards. I am confident that S8’s ambitions for HWT will also see the core business and franchisees’ businesses grow and prosper”

He also said that he was considering a consultancy role. “…I am giving this serious consideration” he said.  ” Importantly. this would allow me to continue my association with HWT and its people, both staff and franchisees – relationships which I hold in great esteem and close to my heart.”

” It has been a great journey with a great team”.
