B&B website sees bookings soar

The website www.BedandBreakfastsGuide.com says it has seen a 520% increase in online bookings in the first two weeks of the year, compared to last year.

The Birmingham-based company believes the ability to do live availability searches and compare prices across different providers has triggered the growth.

Said managing director Nigel Harris: “The fact that customers are now able to guarantee they’re booking the cheapest hotels by checking prices against other providers all on one website is a major plus for us, especially in this climate where price matters more than ever.

"We are delighted with these early indications, and feel sure the trend will continue with people booking closer to their date of arrival than ever before”.
