BCD Travel signs up to the Qantas Channel
BCD Travel has inked an agreement with Qantas Airways to participate in the Qantas Channel.
The Qantas Channel offers travel agents a broader range of fares and airline content from the Qantas Distribution Platform, improving the travel experience for clients.
The agreement covers all individual GDS bookings.
By participating in the Qantas Channel, BCD clients are able to make reservations on Qantas and avoid paying the airline’s new channel booking fee which rolls out on August 1.
"We’re committed to ensuring that companies retain the ability to shop from among multiple competing offers between like city pairs—and can capture essential data needed to keep travellers safe on the road," said Rose Stratford, EVP of global supplier relations and strategic sourcing.
It is the latest deal signed by BCD to ensure clients get access to the widest range of fares and content after agreements with Air France/KLM and British Airways/Iberia.
BCD has also signed NDC agreements with Lufthansa Group, the Amadeus NDC-X program, Sabre Beyond NDC and Travelport’s NDC program.
