Beach butlers: raising the level of all-inclusive
Karisma, a collection of resorts on the Mexican Riviera Maya, is offering such unusual all-inclusive amenities as beach butlers and baby robes.
“We think we’re raising the entire level of all-inclusive resorts,” said Lubo Krstajic, a co-owner and executive vice president of sales and marketing.
Mr Krstajic thinks luxury travelers increasingly have high expectations and that many all-inclusive resorts are not meeting the same high standards.
The hotel collection includes a concept known as ”Gourmet Inclusive,” which Mr Krstajic terms an “entirely new concept that caters to sophisticated world travelers.”
Instead of buffets, for example, Karisma offers full-course, gourmet meals.
There are buffet tables but they’re for children only.
Added amenities for adults include swim-up suites and cabanas with four poster beds.
Karisma’s most recent resort was the Azul Blue Hotel+Spa, which is described as “the most complete spa on the Riviera Maya.”
The Karisma concept will be seen more frequently in the future, according to Mr Krstajic.
