Bedbank upgrades website for agents
Additional accommodation and online facilities has been included in a new website for agents launched by Bedbank.com.
The accommodation supplier has changed from ‘.net’ to ‘.com’ and agents will be automatically redirected to the new service if they enter the wrong URL.
The website has also been updated to include more city hotels and accommodation and now offers more than 3,000 destinations.
Accommodation in South America has been added as well as increased stock in the US and Canada.
Improved and more detailed descriptions of accommodation is offered including a link to the property’s own website where available. Properties now also feature a range of between three and 10 pictures. Eighty per cent of hotels now offer a location map.
An online transfer service has also been added together with faster searches and the ability to book a number of different rooms and room types simultaneously.
Business and web development manager Chris North said: “We have listened to agents’ feedback and made the service quicker, enhanced the range of accommodation and improved the hotel descriptions with more details, pictures and interactive maps.
“In the past we have been thought of as just a bucket and spade accommodation provider but with our worldwide range of accommodation, especially the cities programme, and now transfers, we are well placed as an option for most destinations.”
