Beretts goes cruising!
Well-known TV personality Mark Beretta has been chosen to host the International Cruise Council Australasia’s Annual Awards dinner in January.
A presenter on Channel 7’s Sunrise program – and a performer on the most recent series of Dancing with the Stars – Mark will be announcing the winners of 10 award categories at the January 19 gala dinner, to be held at Star City Hotel & Casino.
His appearance, courtesy of Complete Cruise Solution, will be one of the highlights of the cruise industry’s biggest night of the year.
Council General Manager Brett Jardine said a limited number of tables were still available for the black tie evening which brings together the leaders of the Australasian cruise industry and top travel agencies.
“The Australasian cruise industry has enjoyed more strong growth in 2007, with this summer wave season the biggest on record, so this really will be a night for celebration,” Mr Jardine said.
He said nominations had now closed for the 2007 awards with a strong field of contestants for the 10 categories. Award categories to be announced on the night include:
New Member Agency Achievement Award – New Zealand
New Member Agency Achievement Award – Australia
Consumer Promotion of the Year – Australasia
Rising Star Award – Australasia
Cruise Consultant of the Year – New Zealand
Cruise Consultant of the Year – Australia
Media Award – Australasia
Outstanding Contribution by an Individual – Australasia
Cruise Agency of the Year – New Zealand
Cruise Agency of the Year – Australia
Sponsors of this year’s awards include Cruise Passenger magazine (gold) and Celebrity Cruises, Royal Caribbean International, APT Amadeus Waterways and Emirates Airlines (silver sponsors).
