Best companies to work for revealed

Sunday, 07 Dec, 2016 0

Expedia has been named the best place to work for the second year running, making it the first company ever to retain the top spot in the Glassdoor Empoyees’ Choice Awards.

It was also only one of two travel firms to feature in the top 50 companies with over 1,000 staff, the other being easyJet in 40th place. Last year, easyJet was 12th.

The awards by the jobs and recruitment site are based entirely on anonymous reviews provided by employees.

Expedia senior vice president retail, brand Gary Morrison said: "It’s a great honour to be recognised by Glassdoor UK for the second consecutive year, particularly as the results are calculated solely from employee feedback.

"One of the main reasons our employees love working here is they are given a voice to directly shape our path and are invested in our success. We empower everyone at all levels to share their ideas and test and learn new ways to make the travel experience better, which, in turn, fosters a creative work environment."
