Tourism Australia’s Best Jobs in the World campaign is resonating with young people.

In the four weeks since launch, TA has received 515,308 applications from more than 287,000 people worldwide.

Of this total 76,658 have come from the UK.

The six successful candidates will enjoy a A$100,000 package each that includes a $50,000 paid salary for six months work.

The recruitment drive is aimed at showcasing the benefits of the Working Holiday Visa Programme to young people from around the world.

In the UK more than 40,000 young people travel to Australia on the Working Holiday Visa each year, working in a variety of jobs and then using their earnings to travel around the country.

The Working Holiday Visa is available to those aged between 18 and 30.

Regional general manager, Tourism Australia, Rodney Harrex says: "The huge response to the ‘Best Jobs’ recruitment drive, and the increasing demand for Working Holiday Visas, shows that young Brits are looking to live the Aussie lifestyle, swapping the challenging economic environment here for a new adventure down under."

Jobs include a Park Ranger in Queensland, a Taste Master in Western Australia, a Wildlife Caretaker on Kangaroo Island, a Chief Funster in Sydney, a Lifestyle Photographer in Melbourne and an Outback Adventurer in the Northern Territory.
