Betabeds to close down
Betabeds is to be shut down at the end of this month after just 18 months of trading.
The trade-only brand was established by consumer bedbank Alpharooms in April 2016 and sold more than 200,000 hotels in over 40,000 destinations.
A statement from Alpharooms said it would honour all forward bookings.
"Following the purchase and takeover of Alpharooms last year by Truly Travel Ltd the decision has been taken to close down the B2B trade arm of the business known as Betabeds in order to focus on our direct B2C strategy,” it said.
"Any forward bookings with Betabeds will now be fulfilled by Alpharooms and bookings remain secure and unaffected."
Truly Holdings, parent company of Truly Travel, which operates the Teletext Holidays brand, acquired Alpharooms in October 2016.
