Biz travelers want tasty start to their day
Conducting business at cocktails over dinner Old hat. A new survey on behalf of Holiday Inn Express found more than two thirds of respondents prefer business during a sit-down breakfast.
“And while 87% enjoy having a hot breakfast with their colleagues, 77% view breakfast with the boss as an innocent opportunity to get to know them better, not just a way to earn brownie points and get ahead professionally,†says Holiday Inn.
As evidenced by the survey, the business traveler’s desire to seek out smarter, cost-conscious ways to work and connect with others over breakfast continues to grow.
As a result, Holiday Inn Express says it has upgraded its free Express Start® Breakfast Bar to include a more robust menu of hot foods.
The Express Start® Breakfast Bar now offers guests new hot items like cheese omelets, bacon, sausage, and biscuits with sausage gravy on a rotating basis, in addition to its existing signature cinnamon rolls and Smart Roast® coffee. The hotel chain says they will also continue to offer lighter and healthier fare such as fresh fruit and yogurt.
The Express Start® Breakfast Bar is just one in a series of system-wide brand innovations from Holiday Inn Express designed to create what the chain calls “meaningful and guest preferred upgrades to the stay experience.”
