“Ultimate Blend” is a new, exclusive ten-day tour showcasing the best that South Australia (SA) has to offer, namely wine, wilderness and wildlife. Devised by SA-based Chinta Tours, “Ultimate Blend” uses private light aircraft to link the State’s scenic highlights. In fact, this tour (minimum two, maximum four people) provides a snapshot of what Australia as a whole has to offer. Destination highlights include:

Adelaide, the State capital, to visit the South Australia Museum, Central Market and to sample some fine dining. Accommodation is in boutique Adelaide Heritage accommodation.

Kangaroo Island, Australia’s answer to the Galapagos, to walk along the beach at Seal Bay in order to visit the sea lion colony, enjoy native bush walks, search for native Australian wildlife (kangaroos, wallabies, koala and penguins), visit Flinders Chase National Park, see spectacular rock formations at Remarkable Rocks and Admirals Arch and more.

Flinders Ranges: ancient mountain ranges and outback landscapes, to experience a 4WD tour of Flinders Ranges National Park, lunch at an Outback icon – The Prairie Hotel, bushwalking at Wilpena Pound,  horse-riding or mountain-biking on a sheep station.  Accommodation is in a luxury eco-villa at Rawnsley Park Station.

Coober Pedy, an Outback opal mining town to see an underground Serbian Orthodox church, other underground homes and an opal mine.  Accommodation is in the world’s only underground hotel, the Desert Cave Hotel.

Gawler Ranges, dramatically contrasting scenery, to see native kangaroos, wombats and emus, swim with wild dolphins and sea lions at Baird Bay, and view the rich red rocks and glistening white salt lakes.  Accommodation, at Kangaluna Bush Camp, is in an exclusive two-bedroom safari tent with private en bathroom.
