Blue Chip Holidays changes hands
Hoseasons parent Wyndham Vacation Rentals UK has bought cottage and luxury lodge agency Blue Chip Holidays.
Wyndham, which also owns English Country Cottages and James Villa Holidays, said it hopes to grow Blue Chip into the ‘leading, premium provider of self-catering holidays in the UK’.
Blue Chip has more than 1,100 high-quality rental properties, particularly across the South West.
Allan Lambert remains as Blue Chip Holidays managing director and Blue Chip Holidays will continue to operate from its base in Exeter.
"I am delighted to welcome Allan and his team to WVR UK and the Wyndham Family," said Geoff Cowley, managing director, Wyndham Vacation Rentals UK.
"Blue Chip Holidays has a great range of high-quality properties in key honeypot locations that complement our existing portfolio, so it’s a great brand to have on board. Our focus now will be on continuing to provide fantastic breaks for Blue Chip customers and great service for our owner partners."
Lambert added: “On behalf of the entire team, I’d like to thank the shareholders, who founded Blue Chip Holidays, for their vision and unfaltering support since we welcomed our first guests in 2000 and look forward to an exciting phase under our new ownership.”
