Insight says that their European Rhapsody will present travellers with a new leisurely way to uncover the secrets of Europe by following its ancient waterways and medieval cities.

This special tour running for the first time will be music to the ears of a classics lover, with luminaries like Mozart, Chopin and Dvorak all coming to life on this brand new itinerary.

The cruise takes in the views over the Danube in Budapest aboard a seven night luxurious river cruise, visiting Nelahozeves castle, housing the original scores by Beethoven and Mozart, reflecting on the emotive remains of World War II in Warsaw, Krakow and Berlin, plus revelling in  the beauty and musical atmosphere of Prague.

Highlights of the tour include: enjoy a guided tour of Budapest and visit attractions like  Matthias Church, the Fisherman’s bastion and Heroes’ Square; tour Bratislava’s city centre, visit Krakow’s Cloth Hall in the Town Square and the courtyard of Jagiellonian University, see the trumpeter in the tower of St Mary’s Church and visit Wawel Cathedral in Krakow, take a guided tour of Auschwitz concentration camp and views of Birkenau, see the Black Madonna in the Jasna Gora Monastery, visit the Chopin Memorial, Ghetto memorial and reconstructed Old Town in Warsaw, see Dresden’s reconstructed Frauenkirche Cathedral; Zwinger Palace and the Opera House; admire the ‘Procession of Dukes’ mosaic on the Saxon wall of the castle in Dresden; visit St Vitus’ Cathedral in Prague Castle and the Astronomical Clock in the Town Square; visit the medieval Cesky Krumlov Old Town, see St Stephens Cathedral and Mozart’s house in Vienna; take a guided walking tour past the ruins of the castle where Richard the Lion heart was imprisoned; explore the medieval towns of  Linz and Passau and much more.
