bluebookonline goes direct with a twist
In the recent economic down turn everyone is on the hunt for savings and travel is no different to other retail outlets on the High Street. bluebookonline has investigated different methods of promoting sales by introducing more properties and lowering prices to ensure the whole product is as competitive as possible. However, one problem lies with the drop in numbers of the general public visiting Travel Agents or picking up the telephone to make an enquiry in the first instance! bluebookonline will, therefore, be distributing their gift vouchers to various groups, associations, clubs and fund raising events with a covering letter advising that these vouchers are redeemable only at their local independent travel agency.
David Smith, UK sales manager said, “We pride ourselves on having a Trade Only website but we cannot sit back and just hope that enquiries will keep landing on our doorstep. In today’s climate we have to look at ways to help attract business back to the travel agent on the high street. If we can get them through the door the agents can then work their magic, show off their skills and ultimately, up sell as well as secure future clients.”
Smith went on to say, “It is important to remember that in order for this venture to succeed we will need the support from the trade so that we can release more vouchers and in turn look at other projects in the future.”
Each voucher will be accompanied by a covering letter which will outline the simple redemption instructions for both the agent and the recipient along with terms and conditions.
