Board shuffle at TUI UK
TUI Travel UK managing director Dermot Blastland has completed a board reshuffle following the resignation of distribution director Derek Jones.
Nick Longman, who has overseen integration of the TUI UK businesses, will take over distribution responsibilities from immediate effect, taking over from Jones.
Longman will manage shops, hypermarkets, call centres and third party travel agents as well as the web site.
Director of marketing and product Tim Williamson has been appointed to the mainstream board as customer director. He will continue to be responsible for the marketing of the Thomson and First Choice brands but will also have overseas and customer services reporting into him.
Director tour operations David Burling will become commercial director while Garry Wilson, who was head of purchasing at TUI UK before moving to Travelport, will return to TUI as director of purchasing.
David Harper will be moving on from his role as overseas director for TUI UK to take up the role of group accommodation purchasing director reporting to Will Waggott, commercial director, TUI Travel PLC.
