Boeing Max set to return to China’s skies soon
Plane maker Boeing received a boost as China’s aviation regulator said it expects to grant approval for the Boeing Max to fly by the end of this year or in early-2022.
The Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) was the first regulator to ground the Max jet in March 2019. Boeing called it an ‘important milestone’ and initially saw its shares surge by 25%.
CAAC official Yang Zhenmei said pilots will first need to undergo updated training before granting approval.
