Boeing moving HQ to Washington, DC area
Planemaker Boeing is shifting its headquarters from Chicago to the Washington, D.C area. It said it will turn its campus in Arlington, Virginia into a new HQ.
It would give it easier access to federal government officials and decision-makers, and closer to Pentagon leaders as a major defense contractor.
Boeing plans to open a research and technology center in Arlington.”The region makes strategic sense for our global headquarters given its proximity to our customers and stakeholders,” Boeing CEO David Calhoun said.
