Border restrictions with Canada, Mexico extended again
The Department of Homeland Security confirmed there will be no relaxing of north and south border restrictions. Travel curbs will stay in place for crossings at the borders with Canada and Mexico until at least 21 June.
The restrictions allow for the flow of cargo and essential travel only. The DHS extended the restrictions but tweeted it is ‘working closely with Canada and Mexico to safely ease restrictions as conditions improve.’
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau recently said he expects the US-Canada border to remain closed to tourism ‘at least well into the fall of 2021.’
