Bourne appoints head of retail sales
Allan Lambert has been appointed head of retail sales at Bourne Leisure, which operates Haven, Warner Breaks and Butlins.
He joins the team from within the Haven Holidays brand of Bourne Leisure, where he has worked as the head of marketing within the holiday home sales division and more recently within Haven Holidays.
Prior to this, Lambert worked with the UK travel trade as a national sales manager.
He replaces Colin Wilson who is leaving the company after three and a half years to join Page and Moy.
As well as continuing to work with the travel trade to grow the domestic tourism market, Lambert will also be in charge of tour operator and group business to Haven Holiday Parks.
Lambert said: “With the warm British weather we are experiencing predicted to continue, there’s never been a better opportunity for businesses to work in partnership to make agents aware of the increasing commitment to travel trade and that now is the time to reap the rewards from domestic bookings.
“Whilst the UK travel trade is core to my role, we see exciting opportunities for growth within the inbound tourism market as well as group travel particularly through travel agents and are keen to work with industry partners in our ambition to support the trade to grow UK holiday sales.”
