BP Travel Marketing taken over by Menzies
Brochure distribution and travel consumer marketing company BP Travel Marketing Services and its parent Orbital Marketing Services Group has been taken over by Menzies Distribution in a £12.6m deal.
Paul Markland will continue as managing director of Kent-based Orbital and the existing management will remain. The business was established 1972 by Joe Burford.
Director of sales and marketing Steve Martin said: "This is an exciting time for us with a strong and ambitious new parent keen to support our existing team in building on what has been achieved so far."
Menzies Distribution managing director David McIntosh added: "Our acquisition of Orbital Marketing Services Group allows us to strengthen our core proposition in print media distribution and take advantage of new opportunities for growth."
Menzies Distribution’s primary activity is newspaper and magazine distribution and it also owns field marketing specialist The Network. Its sister division Menzies Aviation operates ground handling facilities at a number of airports.
