Breeze Airways eyes transatlantic flights
Breeze Airways wants to expand its footprint overseas.
The Utah based airline has filed for the right to operate international services, with transatlantic flights to Europe on its radar.
CEO David Neeleman confirmed the filing but has not put a timeline on when it expects to commence international routes.
While transatlantic services are a focus, the airline hasn’t indicated what specific routes yet, although Dublin is a possibility.
The airline’s A220 jets would be able to fly to Ireland.
Breeze is also looking at flights to the Caribbean.
The airline would likely use East Coast departure points for Dublin flights due to the distance and the large populations of Irish descent in New York and Boston.
Breeze Airways launched in 2021 and has 18 A220-300s with more on order.
