Brisbane reveals The Girl With The Chair

MELBOURNE – Brisbane Marketing has launched The Girl With The Chair in a bid to attract the attention of meeting planners.

The girl is part of a marketing effort that Brisbane Marketing’s director, Convention Bureau, Annabel Sullivan describes as "quirky, and something different to what other destinations are doing”.

An attractive model strolled the AIME show floor holding a chair while pushing a message that organising an event in Brisbane can be effortless.

“Carrying a chair may not be effortless, but Brisbane Marketing can take the challenges of organising an event off the organiser,” Sullivan said.

The Girl With the Chair is also featured on Brisbane’s new business events guides.

The Brisbane Meeting Planners’ Guide 2010-11 and Brisbane Unique Venues Guide 2010 are designed to capitalise on Brisbane’s branding as Australia’s new world city.

“Over the past few months Brisbane Marketing has undertaken a series of photo shoots to capture the spirit of the city, its people and the Brisbane brand,” said Sullivan.

“These guides feature some captivating images – including the “girl with the chair” from our latest advertising campaign – which help us tell the story of Brisbane and its unique qualities as a business events destination.”
