British Airways launching Guyana route
British Airways is adding a new Latin American destination to its route network
British Airways will launch flights from London Gatwick to Cheddi Jagan International Airport, Georgetown, Guyana.
Starting 27 March 2023, the new route operates twice weekly with a short stop in St Lucia.
Guyana is noted for its natural beauty and biological diversity, wih some of the world’s largest, rarest wildlife
The diverse animal population earns Guyana the title of ‘Land of the Giants’.
Danny Callaghan, CEO of the Latin American Travel Association said: “I know that the Guyanese Government has been working hard on this initiative, which will allow them to expand their tourism offering and help travellers experience this little-known Latin American gem.”
