British birdwatcher stabbed to death in South Africa
A British man has been stabbed to death by a robber in South Africa while birdwatching.
Simon Milliken, 60, was attacked on a trail 500 yards into the Burman Bush nature reserve near Durban.
The attacker made off with his camera equipment, according to the Sun newspaper.
His American companion escaped and went to fetch help, but rescue teams were unable to find Mr Milliken immediately as he had staggered into dense forest.
His body was discovered the following day.
It is understood he had been alive for a long time before bleeding to death from a punctured lung.
