British boy dies on Eurocamp holiday in France
The Foreign and Commonwealth Office has said it is supporting the family of a 12-year-old boy who has died at a Eurocamp site in France.
It is reported the boy, from East Yorkshire, got into difficulty in a pool by a man-made beach at Eurocamp’s La Croix du Vieux Pont site.
Holidaymakers rushed to help when the boy was pulled from the water at about 6pm local time on Thursday, August 22.
He was airlifted to hospital in Paris, 50 miles away, where he was pronounced dead, Hull Live reports.
The FCO said: "We are supporting the family of a British child who has died in France and are in contact with the French authorities."
Eurocamp has been contacted for comment.
