British boy injured in Bahamas shark attack
A young British boy has been attacked by sharks in the Bahamas. He was rescued after being bitten on both legs by three nurse sharks at Compass Cay.
Finley Downer was taken to the capital Nassau for an operation and further treatment for his injuries.
The family have returned to the UK. Finley’s father claims tour guides told him thesharks were harmless.
Nurse sharks are mostly docile unless abruptly disturbed by humans.
Operator Exuma Escapes said that the family went unsupervised into a lagoon which the company does not use on its tour.
