Britons hurt in Alps coach crash – UPDATED
A number of British travellers have reportedly been hurt in a coach crash in the French Alps.
Around 45 people are reported to have been caught up in the accident during an airport transfer between La Grave and Mizoens in the early hours of the morning.
At least one person was seriously injured and three others were less seriously hurt, according to the Foreign Office.
The road from Grenoble provides access to some of the best know French ski resorts such as Les Deux Alpes and Alpe d’Huez.
The passengers had been travelling with Brighton-based operator SkiPlan.
Director Patricia Couchman told the Daily Telegraph: “A party travelling with SkiPlan were involved in an accident when the coach transferring the group from resort to Grenoble Airport hit black ice and collided with the barrier.”
