A consumer e-newsletter featuring holiday and travel offers has been developed by brochure and information distribution specialist BP Travel Marketing Services.
The circulation of Next Holiday is 400,000 including BP’s opt-in consumer database of 110,000 travel planners plus selected third party e-mail databases used on a rotational basis.
One-time recipients are encouraged to sign-up for Next Holiday.co.uk with the aim of reaching 500,000 opt-in users this year.
Next Holiday also has a website where consumers can view the most recent e-newsletter as well as later offers and register for future issues of the e-newsletter.
Registrations will also be driven through links with other websites and by search engine optimisation.
Each participating travel company has an entry on the e-newsletter and the website outlining their holiday or travel deal, allowing users to click through to a page showing more detailed information.
The first issue of Next Holiday.co.uk was e-mailed this month and will initially circulate monthly, then more frequently as interest grows.
It was supported by a number of clients of BP and sister company Au and other travel companies are being invited to participate in future editions.
The e-newsletter, database, e-mail broadcast and website will be managed by BP’s e-commerce team who also look after its consumer Brochurebank service, the Trade-Gate agent’s portal and e-broadcast service plus the creation of e-brochures and i-phone apps.
BP sales and marketing director Steve Martin said: “Consumers are increasingly using the web to find discounted holidays and travel bargains.
“To keep pace with this trend we have launched a ‘deal aggregation’ product under our Next Holiday brand.
“Tour operators, travel companies and hotels will be able to shift any departures or periods with low sales by discounting then quickly and economically communicating directly to Next Holiday’s substantial database of people who take holidays.
