Steve Molnar who has responsibility for sales and marketing at the stunning Sheraton and Westin resorts spoke to The Mole yesterday and said that it was most definitely business as usual at the resorts and he wanted to let the industry and guests know that the Resorts on Denarau island in Fiji, including the Sheraton Fiji Resort, Sheraton Denarau Villas and The Westin Denarau Island Resort & Spa, Fiji are all fully operational, offering guests their normal standard of excellent service.

He said, “All the hotels continue to assist with all our guests’ needs whenever necessary and we are busy preparing for another top quality Christmas and while of course there are some rooms still available for Christmas and our full range of festive events are already half booked”.

“We have had had several groups in house over the last four weeks as well as hosting to over 300 Australian, New Zealand and Japanese travel agents as part of it’s participation in the Fiji Visitors Bureau’s “Mega Famils”.

“Last weekend also saw the legendary original Qantas Boeing 707 land in Nadi, with the crew and the documentary film team spending a well deserved rest at Sheraton Fiji Resort before heading off on its final leg in Australia.”

“This week we have over 300 guests in house and two wedding groups arriving with everything running smoothly as we are getting busier leading up to Christmas, with great 2007 packages, specials and flight deals now available for those considering holidaying on Denarau Island.”

Steve also said that businesses around Fiji are also open as normal and there is no disruption to travel into and out of Fiji, with access to the Resorts from the Nadi airport also as normal.

He stressed, “We respect the current international travel warnings and as always will continue to monitor the situation closely in consultation with the appropriate authorities, but we welcome Australians and New Zealanders to come and visit, relax and enjoy!”
