Business: cost still counts
This may not come as much of a surprise, but Orbitz for Business found in a survey that business travelers are equally or more cost-conscious this year than in the past. Eighty three percent of business travelers feel “more” (30%) or “as” (53%) obligated to save their money during business trips, according to the Orbitz Business Travel Study conducted online by Harris Interactive. The survey found that business travelers prefer to go online to book travel versus using a traditional corporate travel agency by a two to one margin. The study also found some discontent with corporate travel agencies. For business travelers using corporate agents, 42% felt the service does not always give them the lowest price. Another 44% believed that corporate agents charge high service fees. –Report by David Wilkening–
