Buying airline tickets at Western Union?
Continental Airlines introduced some new payment options for buying tickets on their Web site.
Customers at continental.com can now pay for tickets using a personal checking account, a pay later option or even cash.
“Continental.com is the first travel Web site to offer the payment options of cash, check or deferred payment in addition to credit and debit cards,” said a Continental Airlines spokesperson.
The cash option is available through Western Union. Customers take their reservation confirmation to any of Western Union’s 45,000 locations and submit cash payments for tickets.
Customers buying tickets at the Web site before the end of the year will receive an electronic certificate valid for a five% discount on future Continental tickets.
Continental, the world’s sixth largest airline, has more than 3,000 daily departures throughout the Americas, Europe and Asia.
