CAA gives holidaymakers a hand booking flights
The Civil Aviation Authority is urging travellers booking last-minute flights this summer to check out its online charge comparison tool.
Launched earlier this year, the tool allows passengers to compare the cost of any optional fees and charges applied by the top 23 airlines operating in the UK.
It includes information on how much each one charges for check-in luggage, in-flight meals, sports equipment carriage, seat reservations and other ancillary products and services.
The CAA said the tool had been fully updated following a comprehensive review and that thousands of holidaymakers had already used the information to help them book flights.
