Cairns to offer delegates extra perks
Delegates to conferences in Cairns will be offered special value-added deals from local restaurants, retail outlets and tour operators.
The Cairns Delegate Advantage Programme, which will give delegates access to discounts and value-adds on a variety of goods and services throughout the city, is an initiative of the Cairns Chamber of Commerce, Business Events Cairns and the Great Barrier Reef, and the Cairns Convention Centre.
Outlets taking part in the programme will display a CDAP sticker prominently on their premises.
Rosie Douglas, director of Business Events Cairns and Great Barrier Reef, said the offers could range from discounted tour prices, two-for-one meals in restaurants or a free bottle of wine with a meal.
Cairns Convention Centre general manager Ross Steele said the programme was a way of saying thank you to delegates for visiting Cairns.
Delegates will receive a flyer in their conference satchels with details on how they can access the offers which will be made available to all conferences held throughout the city.
