Caledonian Leisure acquires Northeast travel agency
Coach holiday specialist Caledonian Leisure has announced the acquisition of family run agency Tates Travel.
Tates was founded in1985 by siblings Lee Tate and Lisa Halliday.
It will now join the seven Caledonian Travel Centres.
“We are absolutely delighted to welcome Tates Travel to the Caledonian family,” said Martin Lock, Commercial Director of Caledonian Leisure.
“I have personally worked closely with Lee and the team for many years, and their unwavering customer-first approach is perfectly aligned.”
Lee Tate and the team will continue working at the agency.
Caledonian also operates the Caledonian Hotel Collection which has six properties.
The company generated £63 million in turnover in 2024.
It also comprises the Caledonian Travel and UKBreakaways brands.
