Cambodia described as ‘unpredictable’
Political tensions have increased in Cambodia with travellers being told the situation is ‘unpredictable’.
The Foreign and Commonwealth Office has told visitors to allow extra travelling time to Phnom Penh airport and to closely follow the news for details of delays or protests.
Opposition leader Sam Rainsy is due to return to Phnom Penh international airport tonight following an arrest warrant being issued for him on November 14.
The FCO travel advice said: "Media reports indicate that he may be arrested on arrival. The situation is unpredictable. You should allow extra time if travelling to Phnom Penh airport at this time and follow news reports closely for news of any delays or protests."
