CanJet: Taking a bite of the big apple
The low-cost Canadian CanJet says it will launch scheduled service on 4 June from Toronto and Montreal to LaGuardia International Airport in New York City. CanJet said it will operate once daily non-stop service from both Canadian cities in both directions seven days a week. One-way fares via both Toronto and Montreal will start at $99. CanJet says it has also joined Worldspan. Agents will receive a %5 commission made through the GDS. In addition to New York, CanJet services Chicago Midway. It also offers seasonal service to the Florida cities of St. Petersburg, Sarasota and West Palm Beach. In the future, the airline said it was expanding to its fleet. Report by David Wilkening
