Sydney – Canon Australia announces its latest technology: Flash Memory video cameras. The three Flash Memory video cameras – HF10, FS11 and FS100 – will amaze moviemakers who want a mobile, fast and reliable video camera. The HF10 and FS11 feature a new Dual Flash Memory system, while the FS100 offers the convenience of shooting straight to memory card.
The new range marks the first time Canon has used the ground-breaking format in video cameras. Flash Memory technology has been reliably employed in a broad range of consumer electronic devices, including storage devices, USB memory, MP3 players, mobile phones and digital cameras.
Canon’s Flash Memory technology offers a range of benefits for the consumer, providing extended recording times, speedy operation, as well as easy transfers for sharing with friends and family. It is small in size, resulting in a compact, stylish video camera. Flash Memory is also more power–efficient and robust than other recording media, due to less power consumption and no moving parts. This results in a range of video cameras that are durable, vibration resistant while filming and – most importantly – reliable.
The Canon HF10 Flash Memory video camera provides superb image quality that is comparable with High Definition Video (HDV) and is the first HD video camera from Canon to record at 1920 x 1080 Full HD video resolution. Featuring the acclaimed Canon HD Camera System, the HF10 includes a 12x Optical Canon HD Video Lens, a HD CMOS Sensor and HD 1920×1080 recording to its DiG!C DV II processor, ensuring you shoot superior footage every time.
Dual Flash is another cutting-edge feature of the HF10, which employs both internal Flash Memory (16GB) and a SDHC card slot. The HF10 can record for up to 12 hours[1] in High Definition (the equivalent of twenty-three 8cm DVDs), and the Flash Memory easily handles this large amount of footage.
The Canon FS11 also features Dual Flash, recording in Standard Definition to internal Flash Memory (16GB), and the Canon FS100 offers Standard Definition recording direct to SD or SDHC.
