Cape Town gets ready for WTM Africa
Operators, hotels, travel suppliers and buyers are signing up for the first ever World Travel Market dedicated to Africa.
The event will take place at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) from May 2-3 and is set to attract 4,500 people.
Companies already signed up include Dreams 4 Africa, Brothers Safaris, Sunway Safaris, Cooks Air Tours and Safaris, and City Lodge Hotel Group.
"We are hoping for a refreshing and successful experience when compared to the rather stale events currently in the African market," said Rebecca Wood, marketing manager for Brothers Safaris.
WTM Africa is hosting 300, pre-qualified, buyers from both emerging and traditional source markets.
Cape Town will also host two other travel events – IBTM Africa (Incentive, Business Travel & Meetings) and ILTM Africa (International Luxury Travel Market) on April 28-30, as part of Africa Travel Week.
