Car hire firm collapses after ‘thousands of cancellations’
Vehicle rental firm Your Car Hire has collapsed just five months after being on course for a record year.
The south London-based firm, which has been operating for 17 years, confirmed it has ceased trading with immediate affect following ‘thousands of cancellations’.
Managing Director Ruth Bligh said the decision to close the business was made with ‘great sadness’.
"Although 2020 was looking to be our best year with sales in the first quarter up by 25% on 2019, we have had thousands of cancellations due to Covid-19 and with the recovery proving to be very slow we are unable to continue trading," she said in a note on its website.
"I would like to thank everyone who has supported us over the 17 years we have been in business and wish you all the very best in the future."
