Car rental customers get evouchers
In a nod towards the travel industry becoming ever more paperless, Europcar and Sabre have jointly announced the introduction of an e-voucher for car rental customers.
Along the same lines as electronic ticketing for airlines, the Sabre Car evoucher should speed up the time it takes customers to hire a car as well as enhancing invoicing and account management for corporate customers.
Europcar says the move is part of its drive towards a paperless programme but also makes life a lot simpler for the renter, who simply needs to present his or her driving licence at the rental counter.
The voucher can be used in all 160 countries where Europcar offers rental cars. All voucher details are available through the Virtually There itinerary accessible via the web or PDAs.
