Carlson continues in acquisition mode
Carlson Hotels Worldwide continued to expand its managed hotels with an agreement to take over a dozen hotels operating under the Prime hotel brand.
The company says the agreement calls for the properties to convert to Carlson hotel brands over the next 90 days.
“This agreement allows us to substantially expand our portfolio of managed hotels,” said Jay Witzel, president and CEO.
The new properties expand Carlson’s managed hotel portfolio by 66%.
Of the 12 hotels, four will convert to the Radisson brand, four will change to the Park Plaza brand and five will become Country Inns & Suites by Carlson.
All conversions are expected to by complete by July.
