Carlson Rezidor expands India footprint with seven new hotels

Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group is extending its already extensive presence in india with another seven hotels in the region of Jammu and Kashmir.
 
Carlson has inked a deal with Mushtaq Group of Hotels to manage the seven properties comprising a total of 817 rooms.
 
The hotels will be for Carlson’s Radisson Blu, Radisson and Country Inns & Suites brands.
 
The new properties include Radisson Blu hotels in Srinagar and a resort near India’s top winter sports destination Gulmarg, the 89-room Radisson Srinagar and Radisson Pahalgam Golf View Resort.
 
Additionally, three Country Inn & Suites hotels will be developed in Jammu, Sonamarg and Gulmarg.
 
"The region enjoys strong domestic leisure demand and is home to some of the most visited leisure destinations in India. Integral to our growth in India is an emphasis on expanding in leisure markets and state capitals," said Raj Rana, chief executive officer, South Asia for Carlson Rezidor.
 
With the signing of this portfolio, we will make inroads into the summer and winter capital of Jammu and Kashmir, as well as provide our Club Carlson members an international brand choice in high demand leisure driven markets such as Srinagar, Pahalgam and Gulmarg."
