Carnival Corp launches travel TV show app
Carnival Corp is offering travelers an industry first opportunity to binge watch their favorite travel shows.
Carnival is hoping to spark travel inspiration in users with the OceanView Mobile app featuring full episodes of Carnival’s travel series and other travel TV content.
It is available at home, on the go or at sea and will be available from next month on the Ocean.com website.
Users can select from more than 150 episodes of Carnival’s ‘Ocean Original’ shows like ‘The Voyager with Josh Garcia’, ‘Ocean Treks with Jeff Corwin’ and ‘Vacation Creation with Tommy Davidson and Andrea Feczko.’
As well as travel TV shows, the app will show content from each of Carnival’s brands, ship christening ceremonies and a look behind the scenes of new ship construction.
Carnival believes it is the perfect medium to spark new wanderlust among existing customers and grab more of the new to cruise segment through visual storytelling.
"Our ability to extend consumer brand engagement from broadcast TV to all major video-on-demand platforms, all major over-the-top platforms and all major mobile platforms is unprecedented in the travel industry," said John Padgett, Carnival Corp. chief experience and innovation officer.
All OceanView Mobile content is free and the app can be downloaded at the Apple App Store or on Google Play.
